Mistral Medium 3.5 is described as an open-weight model that can now run within a managed Azure environment, which according to the statement allows developers and companies to build, customize and deploy AI applications with sovereign deployment options and predictable, cost-efficient scalability. OCR 4, for its part, is geared toward structured document processing pipelines and agentic workflows, integrating with the tools already available on the Foundry platform. In Copilot Studio, the addition of Medium 3.5 is framed as a way to combine model flexibility with the enterprise-grade governance that platform already offers, giving teams the ability to choose the most suitable model for each scenario without losing control over where and how data is processed.
